Foundry Grade Silica Sand is an ultra-pure, high-refractory quartz sand processed under strict quality standards for high-precision metal casting, core making, and foundry mold production. Featuring high thermal resistance, a sub-rounded grain morphology, superior grain fineness, and extremely low Acid Demand Value (ADV), this sand delivers optimal mold permeability, excellent dimensional stability, and minimal gas defects. It serves as the fundamental refractory substrate in green sand molding, no-bake resin systems, shell molding, and core production for iron, steel, and non-ferrous foundries. KEY APPLICATIONS & INDUSTRIAL USES 1. Green Sand Molding Systems:Blended with sodium/calcium bentonite clay and water to construct high-strength green sand molds for iron, steel, and aluminum casting, offering superior mold hardness and collapsibility. 2. Resin-Bonded / No-Bake Molding:Mixed with furan, phenolic, or polyurethane cold-box binder systems to manufacture rigid cores and heavy-section molds requiring close dimensional tolerances and smooth cast surface finishes. 3. Shell Molding & Resin-Coated Sand:Acts as the core aggregate for resin-coated sand (RCS) used in shell molding and hot-box core production for automotive components, pump housings, and intricate valve bodies. 4.
